A Wise Insight From An Unexpected Source

A ball is randomly thrown in the path of a dog and you. What is the typical response of each? How will the dog respond? Most likely, it will “doggedly” pursue it. How will you respond? You will not likely chase the offending object because it is not in your nature to do so. Most likely you will pursue the cause of the object's presence.

This is due to the fact that you are much more aware than the dog. It could also be due to the fact that you (and likely other more aware creatures) have a must more distinct sense of the flow of time. What do I mean by this? Well, if a dog has little or no concept of the passage of time, might this explain why it does not investigate causality? Being, something happened only because something else must have happened previously.

It could be supposed that the dog will not look for a cause because it is only ever in the Present moment. I capitalized Present because I believe the Present moment is sacred. Why? Because there is much wisdom in embracing only the Present moment. Why? Because there only ever is the Present moment.

To a dog then, perhaps there is little or no sense of past and future. Therefore, what could causality ever mean to a dog? Hence the reason it finds little or no interest in the cause of an event. You can learn a lot from a dog.

A Few Kurtisms To Chew On.....

I don't understand why people use bathroom deodorizers! All it does is makes it smell like someone took a shit in a rosebush!

Paranoia is a steady-state that persists independent of proof. The ego thrives on it!

Would those predisposed to boredom deem a longer lifespan good?

There is a legitimate way to shirk duties! Just say you will do it tomorrow! Because tomorrow is always tomorrow, paradoxically it is never tomorrow!

Do not overlook the profound wisdom in scrutinizing trivial things as this becomes a stepping stone to evaluating far bigger things!

There is at least a piece in each one of us in those we judge. As such, I recommend we think twice before doing so!

Do not be so quick to judge those that have had affairs. If all the judges out there did not have it in them to go on and do just the same, there would be far fewer affairs!

Be careful to distinguish forgiveness from consequences. Being forgiven does not mean consequences magically disappear!

It can be humbling and perhaps a bit traumatizing when it becomes evident that much of what you never questioned is actually insane!

I think the best answer for making the world a better place is to focus less around doing and more around becoming aware! Do not worry about doing as this will systematically follow awareness.

A Disclaimer

I diligently (attempt to at least) present my philosophy in such a way as not to offend those which I believe can most benefit from it. One of my ideals in life is to sow harmony, not disharmony. My mission statement is to help people become more aware and conscious especially of themselves.

An Alternative To Incessant Fighting Over Ideology

The Israeli/Palestinian conflict is a great example whereby controlling thought (akin to Huxley's "Brave New World") could create a peaceful society, at least relatively so. Just “deprogram” all the contradictory dogma both have been indoctrinated with and simply replace it with an identical ideology into both populations. It matters little what it is so long as both believe it. You must worship Mickey Mouse if you want to be spared from a hellish eternity!

My prediction is they would instantly be more friendly to one another! I am not seriously suggesting this be done (assuming it is or ever will be possible), but am simply posing it as an alternative to incessant fighting and arguing over who is supposedly “right”.

Many will say this control of thought would be evil. But upon further reflection, it seems to be the awareness of having thought controlled, not the control itself, that makes it so evil. What if nobody knew thought was controlled simply as a means to get everybody to agree?

If one still thinks this would be a miserable reality, how is it any less so if by not controlling thought people continue to kill and maim each other over differences in "opinion"?

It seems then that life is forever destined to have misery as company.
